چکیده

in order to study the effects of conventional and conservation tillage with management residue on wheat physiological properties, a field experiment was conducted in 2013-2014 at mashhad agricultural and natural resources research center of razavi khorasan province. this experiment was carried out as split plot design based on a randomized complete block design with three replications. main plots included tillage systems: 1) conventional tillage, 2) reduced tillage and 3) no tillage; subplots were management residue: 1) 0%, 2) 30% and 3) 60% residue. the results showed that tillage systems had significant effect on relative water content (rwc), the difference between canopy temperature and air temperature (∆t), spad reading, flag leaf area (fla), leaf water potential (ψw) and radiation interception (ri). the highest rwc (83%), ∆t (-7.36 cº), spad (47.35), fla (26.3 cm2), ψw (-11.19 bar) and ri (90.22%) were detected in no-tillage method. residue management had significantly different on rwc, ∆t and ri traits, but no significant effect on spad reading, flag leaf area (fla), leaf water potential (ψw) was detected. the highest grain yields were obtained under no-till (6912.2 kg/ha) and 60% residue treatment (6980.8 kg/ha). it is concluded that conservation tillage with more aboveground residue could improve wheat yield and some of physiological properties (rwc, ∆t, spad reading, fla, ψw and ri).

Effects of Gamma Radiation on Germination and Physiological Aspects of Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.) Seedlings

This investigation was carried out to determine the effects of gamma radiation on germination and physiological characteristics of wheat seedlings. Two wheat genotypes (Roshan and T-65-58-8) were irradiated with 100, 200, 300 and 400 Gy. The results showed that MGT (Mean Germination Time), root and shoot length, and seedling dry weight decreased with increasing radiation doses but final germina...

Conservation tillage, optimal water and organic nutrient supply enhance soil microbial activities during wheat (Triticum Aestivum L.) cultivation

The field experiments were conducted on sandy loam soil at New Delhi, during 2007 and 2008 to investigate the effect of conservation tillage, irrigation regimes (sub-optimal, optimal and supra-optimal water regimes), and integrated nutrient management (INM) practices on soil biological parameters in wheat cultivation. The conservation tillage soils has shown significant (p<0.05) increase in soi...

The wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) leaf proteome.

The wheat leaf proteome was mapped and partially characterized to function as a comparative template for future wheat research. In total, 404 proteins were visualized, and 277 of these were selected for analysis based on reproducibility and relative quantity. Using a combination of protein and expressed sequence tag database searching, 142 proteins were putatively identified with an identificat...

The Effect of Priming and Salinity on Physiological and Chemical Characteristics of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

In order to study of the effect of priming and salinity on physiological and chemical characteristics of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.), an experiment was carried out at the Experimental Farm of Shiraz University. Results showedthat primed plants significantly reduced its gas exchanges by accelerating senescence under a series of salt stress, which became more serious along with the increasing of s...

Vernalisation Response of Some Winter Wheat Cultivars (Triticum aestivum L.)

For 17 cultivars of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) different vernalisation and photoperiod responses were detected. The effect of photoperiod sensitivity was not significantly changed by vernalisation; different vernalisation responses were probably due to the presence of multiple alleles at Vrn loci. The delay in heading depended on the vernalisation deficit exponentially: y = parameter (...
